An introductory course perfect for beginners, Meditation in Everyday Life presents the Shambhala teachings on basic goodness and explores how the stability and wisdom cultivated through mindfulness-awareness meditation can improve the quality of our daily life and expand to benefit the world around us.

Each class includes meditation and/or contemplation, some social element, a presentation, and time for a discussion of how the material relates to our personal life.

Please plan on attending each session of the program.

No prerequisite: This course is open to all.

The Way of Shambhala series provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation and is composed of Shambhala Training Levels I-V, each with an accompanying optional five-week 'In Everyday Life' course. The series is designed to be applied to the complexity of our daily lives, and to develop courage and sanity in these troubled times of uncertainty.

The Shambhala Training Levels I-V and the In Everyday Life courses can also each be taken as a stand alone series.

Over the course of a year, the Way of Shambhala introduces the entire Shambhala path. It offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can impact our daily lives, and from there, how the sanity of meditation can expand to impact our whole society.

The Way of Shambhala curriculum was designed by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche based on the Shambhala Teachings of his father, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. The Shambhala Path emphasizes the development of genuineness, confidence, good humor, and personal human dignity.
