In the Shambhala tradition, Social Meditation is a practice of joining meditation with social interaction and community. This practice is especially geared towards those in their 20s and 30s. In a time when it feels increasingly difficult to connect to others, Social Meditation provides an opportunity to have meaningful conversations and make friends in a warm and nourishing environment. The practice involves creating a space in which we can cultivate genuinely being with ourselves and others. Joining the discipline of meditation with the joy of community is a foundational seed for meaningful social change. You are warmly invited to join us each Sunday from 7-9pm for a brief period of sitting meditation, followed by the practice of Social Meditation, and then a chance to enjoy refreshments and spend time together!
