Learn to Meditate
All are welcome, whether experienced or new to meditation, and warmly encouraged to attend our public meditations. This is an opportunity to receive meditation instruction, participate in discussions, and to meet others interested in meditation. Each public meditation is led by a time-keeper and is free, open to all. Meditation instruction is available, as indicated below.
- Sunday morning meditation – includes mindfulness-awareness meditation, alternating with brief periods of walking meditation. You may participate in all or part of that.
– When: 9 a.m. to 12 noon
– Where: Halifax Shambhala Centre (in person)*
– For more information – Sunday Open Meditation
* PLEASE NOTE: Provincial Covid restrictions are currently allowing us to go back to having around 12-15 people at a time in the Centre shrine room. On January 3rd, we resume in-person Sunday meditation and will not be offering Sunday meditation on Zoom.
NOTE:
Contact us for more information or find our location here.
You are also welcome to participate at other Shambhala meditation groups in the Halifax Regional Municipality and Atlantic Canada.
