Proclaiming Basic Goodness: A Shambhala Meditation Weekend Retreat for New and Experienced Meditators.

with Shastri Mary Campbell

"As courageous people who care deeply about the future, we must gently billow the sails of human goodness. It is up to us to take responsibility for uplifting ourselves and society. This happens by discovering our basic goodness and appreciating our worthiness as human beings. We can do this through Shambhala meditation." Sakyong Mipham

Shambhala Meditation is a simple yet profound teaching, practice, and transmission developed by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the lineage holder of Shambhala. Through Shambhala Meditation, we discover a pathway to proclaiming the unconditional ‘alive’ quality of basic goodness, an antidote to the stress, speed, suffering and aggression of our times.

The three phases and associated gestures of Shambhala Meditation—feeling, being, touching—bring us into a more embodied wisdom. We tune in to our open hearts and are able to manifest with a kinder, more compassionate and direct relationship with the world.

Please join Shastri Campbell for this public weekend retreat of exploring and connecting with your own humanity through Shambhala Meditation, the felt personal experience of basic goodness. No prior meditation experience is required. This program is for both new and experienced meditators and also for those who have been introduced to Shambhala Meditation and would like to deepen their practice. The program will include the transmission of Shambhala Meditation, guided practice, teaching, dialogue and gentle physical activity.
