Online Meditation & Community Resources

The following are resources that may be of of help during this challenging time of isolation and social distancing.  Included are online meditations and classes from a variety of sources and traditions, as well as online sessions offered by the Halifax Shambhala Centre.

    Tip – to find posts more easily, search or tag your messages using these abbreviations: #ISO, #OFFER, or #SHOPS.  These mean (in search of), (items or help you can offer), or (info on local shops/stores and their supplies).

How to Use Zoom
 – participate in live online video & audio, from your computer, tablet, or smart-phone

    Zoom is a free program that allows multiple people to meet and see and hear each other. It needs to be installed on your computer (Mac or Windows) or phone or tablet (iOS or Android). It’s quite user friendly, and at the bottom of the Zoom home page there are video tutorials and a good help index.  
  • Download Zoom – for computers, download it from here:  https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting
    For smart phones and tables, there are links there to the App Store and the Google Play store to download and install.
