The Sakyong speaks to the leadership
Tue August 14th: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM In Room(s): Main Shrine Room More than a hundred leaders from all three pillars travelled from all over the region to meet with the Sakyong on May 28, 2012 at Karme Choling. He gave a wide-ranging overview of his vision and some of the key themes he would like Shambhala leaders to contemplate.
"Right now we are right in the middle of the biggest systemic change we have had in our history," the Sakyong told the assembled leaders, "looking at programming, membership, what we’re doing. All of you have participated, volunteered and put your energy into this. We need to know how to maintain what we are doing, and at the same time find ways that we can communicate, share and encourage each other at this very critical time. I feel that if we allow ourselves to do that, we'll find greater and better methods of fulfilling our role and communicating."
We are delighted to share the recording, as well as a transcript, with you.
Please bring a potluck dish to share, as we will pause the audio midway to partake in a meal together.
Open to those who hold leadership roles in Shambhala.
