Canadian Travel Considerations

A passport is required for entry into Canada. If you require a visa to enter Canada, please email us so that we can supply a letter of verification.

Bank or debit cards are widely accepted at ATM bank machines, restaurants, and stores. (Your card should have the Cirrus or Plus logo on it to be compatible.) You should plan to bring Canadian cash or obtain it with your bank card upon arrival. Not all establishments accept American cash, and those that do, particularly restaurants, often use a low exchange rate. Credit cards usually give preferred exchange rates on purchases.

You can purchase long-distance phone cards at newsstands and drugstores throughout the city.
